Relais & Châteaux celebrating 70th anniversary
An unforgettable event of the highest class, outlining new directions – this is how the 70th anniversary of Relais & Châteaux, celebrated in Paris a week ago, can be briefly described.
The annual congress of the association brought together representatives of 350 hotels and restaurants from the premium segment from all over the world. Among them was the management team of the only Bulgarian representative in Relais & Châteaux – Zornitza Family Estate. The congress was held in one of the most famous concert halls in Paris – Pleyel.
The highlight of the event was the special dinner at the Palace of Versailles with the participation of the French Minister of Tourism. The anniversary cake was cut by the Olympic fencing champion Manon-Apity Brunet, who also opened a champagne bottle with sabrage. Among the partners of the event traditionally were champagne brands like Taittinger, Duval Leroy, Pommery, Chapoutier.
One of the main topics discussed by the top chefs at the assembly was giving priority to plant-based cuisine.
